A single malt Irish whiskey from the Cooley distillery, Tyrconnell is incredibly creamy and smooth.
Sweet and crisp with orchard fruits and a malty character. Oaked dryness and an oily note.
Full and sweet with barley malt and hot buttered granary toast with honey.
Dry and grassy with a little spice.

Had it on New Years Eve. It was in a four pack samplier someone brought back from Ireland. What a treat.
This is a great single malt at a very conservative price , would recommend it to anyone !
I needn`t see the two silver awards for to know that is a good irish whiskey. Of course I prefer Red Breast 12 y.o. or Connemara peated single malt (both of them more expensive) but I like Tyrconnell more than Bushmills black bush by example.
Tried a wee-dram tonight - a gift from a dear friend recently back from Ireland (although it was bought stateside). Slightly malty and sweet on the nose. Volatile. Sweetness extends to the palate with an incredible creaminess, almost a thickness, in the mouthfeel dept. Finish is quite alcoholic with some spiciness? Definitely sipping quality. Alcohol starts to blow off after several minutes in the glass with some swirling. Overall, I was impressed.
