This vibrant addition to the Two Stacks Irish whiskey range was treated to a finish in casks that previously held apple brandy, bringing heaps of orchard fruit character to the fore. A characterful sipper, this ought to shine in cocktails too.
Crisp notes of apple and citrus zest, oak char, and toffee.
Spiced toffee apples, fresh orchard fruits, runny caramel, and biscuity malt.
Gentle baking spices, toasted oak, cooked apples, a touch of granola.
For what is I presume a young whiskey, there is lovely complexity to this blend, and a well integrated apple brandy finish. A delightful drop, very suited to the longer evenings to come.
