Tullibardine
Scotland
Single Malt
Adorned with golden detailing, Tullibardine Sovereign is a delicious creamy single malt which was aged in first-fill bourbon barrels before bottling. Expect plenty of vanilla and spice from this Highland Dram.
Soft vanilla and cocoa butter on the nose. White chocolate, allspice and charred oak.
A little mixed peel with notes of pear cider, allspice and creamy chocolate. A core of rich malt with hints of maple syrup.
Spiced, creamy finish. Plenty of vanilla and cinnamon.
A creamy whisky from some truly delicious casks!
This is a 4 star Scotch. It needs a few drops of water to release it's full flavour profile (most 43% do), but once diluted, it's lovely. Coconut, toffee, cream and chocolate all swirl around agreeably. I sense a few age snobs in the reviews below. Don't believe them. Get this at the right price and you've got an absolutely lovely whisky.
The one that wrote Dreadful... you heathen. I bet you buy Glenfiddych and think it’s fine. This is a great malt especially for the price. Goes down so easily. ‘Dreadful’ writer probably works for Tomatin and drives a Skoda from 2003.
One of the nastiest bottles I've had for a while. Acid all over
Well, now – here’s an interesting dram, for those wanting absolutely nothing to do with peat, smoke, wood ash, TCP or Dettol. Add an equal amount of ginger ale, et voilà – the perfect summer Prosecco, with sweet pears, lychees, and a hint of vanilla. Not quite sure what this has to do with ‘traditional’ malt whisky, but it’s deliciously more-ish of a summer evening and, with 22% ABV, it’ll get you contentedly squiffy in no time.
I add a splash of water. it has a subtle sweet caramel flavour. Easy to drink so be careful. One of my all-time favourites
