Single Malt
Scotland
Sherry

This well sherried single malt from Tullibardine joins the Cask Craft collection from independent bottler Murray McDavid. The whisky finished its maturation in a combo of Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks imparting nutty waves of praline, citrus, and spice to its creamy, fruity core.
Sweetness and spice, with chocolate raisins, candied almonds, cinnamon, and dried oranges.
Stewed fruit and dustings of cinnamon sugar support creamy malt and milk chocolate pralines. Dates and baking spices gather beneath.
Creamy chocolate lingers, with butterscotch and cakey spice.

To me, this whisky has a good nose with notes of chocolate raisins, dried orange segments and some black treacle. The palate gives tastes of stewed fruit, pastry crust, dates and baking spices whilst the finish delivers Rum & Raisin Chocolate. All in all a very good all-round & well bodied whisky
My wife, who doesn't drink whiskey and rarely makes a comment when I have a drink, said " That smells Christmassy" when I had a dram of this. It's young, but well put together, with lots of sweet and spicy fruitcake aromas and a hint of dark chocolate. Recommended.
