Released in 2013, this fabulous bottling from Tullibardine sees the rich, malty whisky finished for 12 months in top-quality 500-litre sherry butts. The result is something to behold.
Spiced, aromatic nose with notes of dark brown sugar and toffee apples.
Cooked fruit, cinnamon and manuka honey. Dates and hints of allspice.
Long, creamy finish with butterscotch and ground almonds.
A thick, creamy whisky with a spiced, chocolate-y edge.

A wonderful creaminess and sweetness with long lasting finish
After looking forward to trying this sherry cask. I was left disappointed almonds and spice overpower with not a lot more going on unless you really get your nose into your glass and the after burn and bitter taste just sits on the tongue. Maybe this needs a higher alcohol vol to help It out as I found with a little ice it really was flat.
Really enjoyed this sherry finish. Christmas came early with spice ,vanilla, chocolate and a wee touch of orange, only downside, no age statement.
Recently tried this at our local pub (always trying to find new bottles to buy for the house), and this one knocked our socks off. We prefer sherry-casked, but the 500 was very different. I agree with other reviewers: vanilla, hint of chocolate, creamy and smooth. The burn takes a bit and it was the perfect amount. The sherry is more present in this bottle compared to the Tallisker Distillers Edition and the 12-Year Springbank Green, for reference.
Great sherry drop, apple toffee nose and taste, vanilla and fruity aftertaste with hint of Xmas spiciness. Very nice and pleasant Christmas drink
