A 26-year-old Tullibardine single malt Scotch whisky from our very own Single Cask Series! Though Tullibardine doesn't come up in conversation all that often, we really think it should - they produce some fantastic Highland whisky, often big and rich in golden malt goodness and vibrant fruit. This 26-year-old single cask bottling was distilled back in April 1989 and bottled in April 2015 at 53.7% ABV.
Cereal rich, Farley's Rusks, banana bread. Quite grassy and oily too, citrus, nettle tea. Pineapple-y marmalade develops, as does soft white-chocolate-chip cookies.
Toasted cornflakes develops into crunchy Ryvita, then the fruitiness emerges with fresh mango. Soon enough, it becomes all about glorious baking spices.
Spicy oak and soda bread. Fruity hops go on and on.
Intense but poised, this Tullibardine is a fascinating bit of Highland whisky awesomeness.
