King James IV is having a bit of a moment, bragging about how smart he is by saying distilling beer would make it taste better and that the scones have become too stale. ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Victoria sponge cake, greengages and marmalade. Oak furniture and old leather.
Palate
Buttery at first, though soon followed by juicy peach and plum. A good kick of winter spice appears later on.
Finish
Runny honey and a touch of tobacco.
