Bartels Whisky
1 Jan 1989

A 24 year old Tullibardine, matured in a single bourbon hogshead! This is an indie bottling by the folks at Bartels Whisky, presented as part of their Highland Laird range.
Full-bodied and a little bit meaty. Thickly sliced toasted granary bread with farmhouse butter, almonds and cut grass.
Rye spice, vanilla pods, ripe plum. A bit gristy.
Red berries and bitter orange peels with a hint of old oak.

This was a straightforward, very drinkable, quality whisky; my partner also found it a very enjoyable, smooth whisky.
