26-year-old Tullibardine single malt, bottled for the Darkness! range. This was given a finishing in a specially coopered 50 litre Pedro Ximénez cask, resulting in a huge flavour profile showing off massive sherry cask influence.
Fragrant and slightly floral malt. Develops notes of chilli chocolate, roast chicken crisps, raisins and fresh peach.
Very chocolatey. Soon enough notes of peanuts (chocolate covered, of course), blackcurrant jam and lime peel. Peppery oak on the mid-palate.
A subtle smokiness lingers, as does cooking spices.
