Launched in 2016, this is an 18 year old single malt whiskey from the excellent Tullamore D.E.W. range, which was finished for up to six months in bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, Port and Madeira casks.
Spicy malt with developing hints of sherry-soaked raisin and cinnamon.
Soft fruit as it opens, leading into bourbon-cask vanilla and toasted bread.
Caramel and chocolate, with a zesty spark of orange and fruitcake.

A bit harsh for my liking on both odour and taste, but the after taste mellows out nicely.
Probably my second Irish whisky and it most definitely didn't disappoint. Can't find anything wrong with it but for the price you could find a bottle equally good for cheaper
When malts go to heaven.... Dad and I had a tasting sample and it is one of the most amazing drams we have ever tried. The final peach-fruit note lingers on the palate for a long time. 10 stars from us!
