A 14 year old, triple distilled Irish single malt whiskey from the Tullamore DEW range, which has been finished in bourbon, Port, Madeira and Oloroso Sherry casks - an expression not often seen on these shores.
Zesty citrus, grilled pineapple and slowly building bourbon-y vanilla.
Big, creamy malt with loads of vanilla tannins. Ripe, sweet red grapes and a hint of poached apple.

My Sister gifted me this bottle of DEW 14 for my birthday. She knows that I like Malts and Pot still. My nose tells me that I'm going to like this whiskey. Wood and fruit on the nose. Peppery sweetness with a somewhat astringent after taste ( which I like). Good finish. Nice legs. This, IMHO, is a keeper. Thanks Sis, you done well.
I love Irish whiskeys and some of them can be quite pricey and not always worth it. I bought a sample to test this one and I was delighted. This is a great price for a really smooth and very drinkable whiskey. If in doubt read the reviews on here and buy a sample first. I will definitely be buying a bottle of this one this winter :-)
My neighbor gave me a bottle as an attempted bribe to go mushroom hunting in my forest. I hope he picks good ones.
I had a taste at a fast paced reception. Didn’t get to appreciate its breadth of character. Gave it a second chance tonight.
Totally enjoyed this. Smoother than the 15.
