A bold Lowland single malt from the Dalrymple (not a standalone distillery but a brand name for a "teaspooned" whisky from the Ailsa Bay Distillery), this 10-year-old showcases the beauty of a full sherry finish. Distilled on 15 April 2013 and reracked into an oloroso first-fill sherry hogshead in May 2021, it’s rich and indulgent and bottled at a robust 59.3% ABV with an outturn of just 330 bottles.
Dark maple syrup, treacle, and ripe blackberries leading the way. Layers of cinnamon, clove, and a touch of dark chocolate add depth and spice.
Intense dark fruits—blackberry, redcurrant, raisin, and plum—flood the palate. Toffee, chocolate, and gentle oak spice bring warmth and balance.
