It's an independently bottled 21 year old Tormore single malt, boasting orchard fruit and vanilla notes by the bucket-load! This whisky was bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company and features a big ol' hill on the label. Y'see, the name Tormore comes from the Gaelic for "the big hill" - Torra Mhòir. Hence, the hill.
Batch 3 is a release of 149 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Freshly cut grass, hay, apples, vanilla ice cream, milk chocolate, cashew nuts, slight cinnamon spice prickle, banana chips and nutmeg.
Lots more orchard fruits, but this time with an element of dried citrus peels. Grapefruit, toasted barley, coffee beans and a suggestion of bitter dark chocolate.
Medium and relatively complex, with the oakiness, sweet spices and orchard fruits – this time stewed – all coming through.
A springtime, sunshine dram!
