Terrific 23 year old Tomintoul here, independently bottled by Càrn Mòr. It was aged in a single hogshead from November 1996 to January 2020, and then bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 278 bottles. Yet another excellent Celebration Of The Cask.
Heather honey, melted butter and blueberry pancakes.
Slowly the oaky spices build on the palate - think ginger and black pepper. These warming notes are tempered by more honey, rosemary and sugary popcorn.
Trail mix, caramel and hickory.
