This is the 16-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from the Tomintoul distillery, matured in selected bourbon casks. It was crafted by fourth-generation distiller, Robert Fleming and it's his go-to malt to this day. Rather elegant and flavoursome, this one.
Medium-bodied and punchy. There are notes of stemmy cut hay and dried grasses, a leafy green note and a touch of rooty earth and fudge.
Notes of boiled sweets, espresso, mochaccino, ground almonds and granary toast with melted butter. Vanilla fudge and thick cream.
The finish is of good length with notes almond and barley sugar.
At under $52/.75L you can't go wrong with this flavour. The dude/-dette, who posted "apple cider" "review" below must have drunk vinegar. Or, s/he has no clue.
After playing the Pipes, we pass around the flasks. The Tomintoul wins every time. It is very smooth, has almost no bite and the most wonderful follow-up. It is worth every penny and will always be my drink of choice!
This is truly one of the worst scotches I have bought in years. Abominable, sour, surly and not even close to being a "gentle dram" unless you like sucking on rotten apples and spitting out the foetid seeds in your Glencairn glass.

in un mio viaggio a Londra ebbi modo di assaggiare e quindi acquistare questo whisky che reputo molto buono nel sapore, successivamente ho continuato ad acquistare tramite amici che si recavano a Londra , ora però vedo che c'è la possibilità di ordinarlo via internet e questo sarà per me un servizio che non tralascerò di utilizzare. grazie e complimenti
