Released in August 2009, Tomintoul 33 Year Old was named Best Speyside Single Malt at Whisky Magazine's World Whiskies Awards the following year. A fine replacement for the 27 year old that was launched five years earlier.

DD This is without doubt the most amazing tasting whisky I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. I tried a blind taste sampling of single malt whisky’s and this won by a country mile. Based on this my wife bought me a bottle, much to my delight. What a whisky and what a wife!
