The 11th batch of Tomatin's exceptional 36-year-old single malt matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry butts. A superbly well-aged expression, boasting a rich, complex profile, and presented in a handsome wooden display case.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Vibrant, fruity and floral on the nose, with aromas of tropical fruits layered with winter spices from the oloroso Sherry butts.
Palate
Rich yet sweet on the palate, the fruity tones develop into oaky flavours of raw heather honey and roasted chestnuts.
Finish
The depth of this whisky is reflected in its remarkably long finish with waves of fruit fading to an enticing winter spice finish. A very special dram indeed.
