    Single Malt

Tomatin 36 Year Old 1983 Single Cask (Master of Malt)

Top-notch single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 1983 and matured for a hefty 36 years in a single refill sherry butt! That butt found its way to us at Master of Malt, and after a patient wait, we cracked it open in 2020, with 43 bottles available as part of our independent Single Cask series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Quite tropical with hints of pink grapefruit and passion fruit, countering robust barley and charred oak.

    Palate

The fruit shines with a touch of pineapple, more passion fruit, and hints of mango. Salted lemon pokes through with hints of old oak and leather.

    Finish

Drying cinnamon and rootsy spice creep in, giving a warm send-off to those exotic fruits.
