This single malt from Tomatin was distilled in 1988 and matured for a whopping 31 years in a refill American hogshead cask. In January 2020, the gang at Gordon & MacPhail made the excellent choice of cracking the cask open and bottling up the whisky for its Connoisseurs Choice collection, with a total of 173 bottles released at a cask strength of 57.3% ABV.
