Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 2008
Those folks at Thompson Bros. certainly know their stuff when it comes to selecting the most impressive single malts to bottle. This one was distilled at Tomatin in 2008, and spent a total of 14 years maturing, including two years finishing in a single Cognac barrique. A release of 490 bottles.
Nutty granola and toasted, seeded bread, a touch of pear and barley sugar sweeties.
Candied almonds and robust malt lead, with creamy vanilla, sultanas, and fresh grapes followed by sweet, toasted oak.
More raisins and currants, rich barley with dried fruit crisps, and a pinch of spice.
