This 2006 vintage Tomatin has been treated to a dual maturation, as it was treated to a finish in Fino sherry butts for the final four years of its 13 years of ageing. Oodles of nutty, spicy notes have been imparted from the finish, and we reckon this is a top postprandial sipper.
Fresh, oily malt and rich nuts, with fresh, ripe plum and touches of pear skin.
Frangipane and subtle undertones of dried herbs, followed by fresh bread, flamed lemon peel and mace.
Spiced, cooked apple lingers alongside a touch of balsamic.
