A gloriously sherried single malt from Tobermory, brought to us by our friends at Darkness. The whisky spent 16 years maturing, finishing up in one of Darkness' custom-made Pedro Ximénez sherry octave casks. Smaller surface area inside the cask means greater opportunity for spirit and wood to interact, and you'll find hearty helpings of dried fruit, butterscotch, and leathery oak here.
Sweet notes of sherried oak tangle with savoury layers of meaty soy and malt, with a touch of minerality beneath.
Creamy vanilla, leathery oak, some dried herbs, and plump raisins join butterscotch and nutty maple syrup.
Sweet and savoury with layers of salted caramel, herbaceous spice, and sweet oak.
