Released in early 2019, this 12 year old single malt from Tobermory was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two year break! This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV. What a way to get back in the swing of things!
Pear, peach and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar. Greek yogurt, barley and a hint of cinnamon pastries.
Rounded malt notes once again, now a touch oily. Still packs a hearty helping of stone fruit sweetness.
A flash of orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates.

This is really excellent whisky, if you like the 10 year old you’re going to love this. Smoother, sweeter, fruitier and darker it has more body and notes of pear, citrus, vanilla with a long and slightly salty, spicy finish. It’s like the 10 yr that’s been to finishing school for a couple of extra years !
