Tobermory
Scotland
Single Malt

Released in early 2019, this 12 year old single malt from Tobermory was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two year break! This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV. What a way to get back in the swing of things!
Pear, peach and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar. Greek yogurt, barley and a hint of cinnamon pastries.
Rounded malt notes once again, now a touch oily. Still packs a hearty helping of stone fruit sweetness.
A flash of orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates.

I purchased this around a month ago and have tasted it a few times since then. It's complex, with a definite spice in the finish, but I don't get much more from it. Perhaps it's too complex for my palate. I struggle to really enjoy this one, despite having high hopes for it based on other reviews.
Excellent choice for a 12 years old dram.
Agreat whisky smooth and very tasty would buy again try it
Bright Citrus fruits with some spice coming through at the end, a very nice dram.
Rich, complex and fully of fruity notes. It's a belter
