Released in early 2019, this 12 year old single malt from Tobermory was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two year break! This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV. What a way to get back in the swing of things!
Pear, peach and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar. Greek yogurt, barley and a hint of cinnamon pastries.
Rounded malt notes once again, now a touch oily. Still packs a hearty helping of stone fruit sweetness.
A flash of orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates.
Lovely inviting notes on 'the nose'. Expressively brought to life on 'the palate'. Beautifully lingering on 'the finish'. Tobermory 12....four stars well deserved.
Fruity, creamy, some spice/citrus, malt, sweetness all well balanced and making a great whisky. The trouble is it's so nice it just ain't gonna last!
Not very experienced with scotch but tried a few, this blew my palette away and I very much enjoyed the first sip! I look forward to sharing this one with good company, very nice on the rocks.
Love this whisky, kinda new to whisky and have tried 15 or so different bottles. I love this so much ive ordered another 2 bottles. I have purchased many other bottles from here and service so far is perfect.
