Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1999
Bring on the smoke and bring on the sherry, because the Tobermory Distillery has bottled up a Ledaig single malt which has been matured fully in Pedro Ximénez casks! This one was distilled in 1999 and set aside to age for 22 years, after which is was bottled up at a cask strength of 55.6% ABV, packing generous peaty hints and dried fruit richness aplenty.
Dense dark fruit richness, with waves of bonfire smoke and tobacco.
Still packed to the brim with raisin and plum, with hints of drying cacao developing. Sea salt, ash, and cask char alongside it all.
A crackle of cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper, mellowed by strawberry and milk chocolate.
