Ledaig 21 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish (Darkness)
This peated Ledaig single malt from Tobermory matured for 12 years, including a finish in a custom-made oloroso sherry octave cask. Octaves are the cask of choice for indie bottler Darkness, their smaller size ensures greater interaction between spirit and wood during maturation, in turn ensuring heaps of sherry character in the final whisky.

Nose
Sweet candied orange and earthy peat tangle, with dense, meaty malt and thick caramel in tow.
Palate
A splendid balance of zesty citrus, biscuity malt, and toffee, with a touch of salted caramel and delicate smoke nestling beneath.
Finish
Syrupy fruit gathers for the finish, while the tangy orange peels linger alongside freshly baked muffins.
