Ian Macleod
Scotland
Single Malt
An indie Ledaig, finished in a Pomerol wine cask! This was distilled in June 2007 and matured for 10 years until April 2008, when it was bottled for the Chieftain's range by Ian Macleod. 689 bottles were produced from three casks, 92401, 92405 & 92406. The unique cask finish should make this one intriguing tipple!
Blood oranges, cooked red fruits, vanilla and a rush of fiery cinnamon.
Stewed plums and mellow oak with plenty of rich malt and liquorice in support. Gingersnaps and sweet cereals bring depth underneath.
Long and enjoyably spicy.
