Dry smoke whisps through pear drop sweetness and oaky vanilla.

Palate

Gentle on the palate, with plenty of honeyed grainy goodness, grassy peat, and some sweet gingery spice.

An Excellent 1st Time Irish Whiskey

I bought this whiskey after watching the BBC TV programme about the docks & the distillery & thought I'd give the whiskey a try. On the first couple of sips you get the peppery, smokey & peaty flavours coming through which reminded me of a Scottish Whisky which I forget the name. After your palate gets used to those initial flavours the whiskey in my mind then mellows out & becomes very smooth & creamy. I am very pleased with the whiskey & I've already ordered my 2nd bottle. Recommended ?

Well worth a bottle.

First sip gives a good Peat Smokeyness with a sweet honey tone to it. Looking forward to the rest of the bottle

Disappointed

Disappointed- they tried too hard with the peat flavour, it tastes a little musty rather than peaty to my palette. Obviously I drank it anyway!
