The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.

(£18 Tesco club card) A little acrid, a little insipid, I think it might meld a little better in a few more years and then it will be more balanced. It’s like that person you meet who looks gorgeous, but just isn’t quite mature enough yet….
Bought it on offer in Sainsbury's (Nectar card price £18 instead of £28) on impulse. Lots of caramel (subtle at the beginning but becoming much stronger as it sits on the palate.) Leaves an aftertaste very very similar to that of a Werther's Original. Adding a little water brings this out even more. Not unpleasant and reasonable value at £18, at £28 there's much better out there.
This is One of the nicest blended whiskeys iv ever tasted! one of my favourites hands down, bought for £18 bargain, and for £28 full price for a 70cl bottle you can expect quality for that such high price, it is very pleasant, tasty and smooth and goes down very well! A true gem, Highly recommended
Bought on a offer £18. Not bad for price. Loads of vanilla and honey notes of sweetness probably due to the re- charring of the cask. Medium finish of Spicy notes like the ginger and cinnamon as described.
Surprised, it was a gift and thought it would be cheap rubbish, but it is smooth and creamy not overly strong, very easy to drink. Happily drink it on its own, but great with Ginger Ale. Would definitely buy another bottle for the cupboard
