The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.
Really enjoy this whisky straight with 1 small ice cube Smooth and light could be my new favourite blended whisky
An good one. Loved it ! Appreciated the smoothness and the taste. My third bottle. ?
Young, very smooth, best on its own to sip. Not the depth of a Johnnie Walker blended But if you like it light and smooth you can’t go wrong.
This is amazing whiskey first time having it but can say really say smooth and great taste As
This is decent. Scotch like so many drinks are an individual like or dislike. I am qualified to to remark on the quality. Without technical or tasting comment that most do not discern, or are confused by. It has a measure of goodness I find pleasing, mix or straight, its an easy tipple. It has something for many, but not all. It has a softer, easier laid back manner than some. It is not refined, but it is a great aperitif, mixed or straight, cold water or ice. Its honest, clean, fresh and a very good example of blended scotch. I enjoy it!
