The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.

Reasonable on the pallet, nice vanilla and inoffensive. No real linger like most blends but I bought at £20 so cant complain.
I've has this with ice, with Ginger Beer and in an Old Fashioned, and it works really well in them all. Great value.
