The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.

Beautiful mellow flavour, full of taste without any harsh after taste. Even though a blend it’s better than some single malts. Lived in Scotland and tasted lots of whiskies. You get what you pay for and at £18 a bargain. Maybe not for the connoisseurs but for someone who enjoys an occasional glass you couldn’t buy better.
Obviously it’s not great whisky but if you fancy a light note whisky then it’s pleasant tasting and doesn’t leave a harsh taste. Doesn’t deserve the poor reviews from The Whisky Snobs on here!
Not bad , the second glass seamed to taste better
One of the worst whiskies I've ever drunk. Awful.
Took a punt on this as it was under £20, not bad, especially for a cheap blend. Sweet on the palate and no harshness. The flavours are quite timid but pleasant enough, the aftertaste however, lets it down. A decent utilitarian whisky, but not for the RRP.
