The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.
Lovely taste. Good for cocktails and shots.

Comments are correct about whisky snobs.I have drunk whisky all my life and this is very drinkable. I like the bottles with a candle in them as well!!
Surprisingly complex for its price point, £18 and it’s really good to sip on and enjoy. Nice hint of spice and slight hint of mint on the finish.
Decent enough to chill with, £18 well it definitely tastes just fine and quite distinct taste. Worth being in your cupboard
