The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.
Has nice strong oaky aftertastes but sadly the positives end there. Unfortunately this does taste watered down. Would defiantly benefit as being mixed with coke rather than a drink on the rocks.
First time I tried this i loved it . Normally I don't drink blends but enjoyed this immensely.
