The Woodsman is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay (owners of Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), designed for use in cocktails and mixed drinks. Particularly oak-y, as you might expect from the name, with plenty of vanilla and nutty malt notes in tow. Nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's album Man of the Woods.
Sandalwood, honey, almond slices and sawdust.
Creamy vanilla, ginger root, slight grain sweetness.
A touch of smoke underneath spearmint and cinnamon.

Lovely on its own ! one knob of ice or Granite cube . Great with stones ginger too.
Very easy to drink whisky, got a speyside feel about it.
