The Woodcock
The Woodcock is a good value for money blended Scotch whisky, named after the group of birds. There are about seven or eight different types of woodcock, including the American woodcock and the Eurasian woodcock. They all have quite distinctive beaks, which are super long, and they tend to come out at night to peck at things with that long beak rather than hang around during the day. In conclusion, they are good birds, and the whisky lives up to that.
Honeyed cereal and warm barley, with a drizzle of floral honey.
More honey, now with cedar and cassia in support. A hint of chocolatey sweetness develop later on.
Dried fruit and vanilla last.
