Hailing from an undisclosed Islay distillery, this heavily peated single malt joins The Cooper's Choice collection from independent bottler The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. The whisky finished its maturation in a Madeira wine cask, adding waves of sweet dried fruits and coffee to the tarry, peaty core. A total of 312 bottles, released in 2023.
Sultanas, coffee grounds, and cocoa are joined by maritime smoke and ash.
Oily and coastal, with tarry oak and smoldering embers supported by helpings of honeyed stone fruits and spiced mocha.
Peat smoke lingers, with a touch of treacle and musty oak.
