The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.
Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.
Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.
Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.
I'm not a huge fan on liquor but I find this Scotch smooth and enjoyable. I save it for special occasions.
Smooth and delicious. Great on it's own or in a cocktail.
I am no liquor connoisseur but enjoy drinking this straight up. It tastes smooth to me, and lingers and warms. My husband and brother, both alcohol snobs, commented on the pretty bottle but seemed dismissive of Scotch Whisky in general... until they tasted it. Both complimented the whisky. I saw with dismay, and some degree of self-satisfaction, that they drank more than I'd wanted to share.
Honestly, I have not had much whiskey in my life but I was surprised by its taste and aroma. I like it. Great bottle and presentation. He arrived in Spain without any setback ...
