The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.
Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.
Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.
Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.

I got this as a gift and was very impressed by it. I usually drink Springbank 15 or Glenfarclas 15 and this is easily in that league. It's full of complex, strong flavours and has a very nice finish. Amazing stuff, you won't regret it.
Loved it. It’s good. I could go on about notes and reminds me of, but I will leave that to people who know what they are talking about. I challenge you to try it for your self, Forget the fact that it’s a celebrity brand and take it on it’s own merits. It’s a good whisky that’s been crafted with love.
I shall touch on a couple things here, so bear with me...a tad long, but well rewarding. Dear Reader, let us begin. Flavor: The most amazing, 'surprise' first sip. Totally unexpected, the fruity, sweetness, then full, spicy flavor with a smooth mouthfeel and sweet, citrus aftertaste. I'm no connoisseur, but one sip and you'll know what I'm saying. This is one of those whiskys that can stand on its own. *DON'T* put anything in this except whisky stones! (You of course, CAN add a mixer, but...) Doing some experiments in other uses, and have found a couple. If you like your dram a bit on the earthy side and feel a bit adventurous, you'll be adding this to your home bar. Presentation: Created to resemble a decanter, this bottle will feel right at home on top of or inside your liquor cabinet or cart. Cork closure keeps all the magic inside, ensuring every nip and sip is fresh and tasty. Lasses, if you like tall, strong, mysterious looking men, this is the one you've been longing for all your life. If you came across him, he'd be working on his motorbike, a slight smudge of dirt or grease across his forehead, towel in a rear pocket of his jeans. Lads, this is like that beautiful, smart, unattainable looking lass you keep admiring on your lunch break. You see yourself confidently walking up and chatting her up, but feel a bit too nerdy for her. (Trust me, she's into nerds.) Conclusion: As far as a "Celebrity" spirit, you can taste the craftsmanship, blending and distilling that went into this. It's not just a pretty face, this is a labor of love of the land,, and a wee sip of it's history. Well worth it, goes a long way and tastes as good as it looks. It needs some plaid, it's so Scottish! Slàinte!
Truly the best wiskey I have ever had. I was born and raised in the United States, and have a special connection with Scotland, because of my heritage. Tasting Sasinac for the first time made me wish I was wearing my kilt and siting on a hilltop in Scotland sharing a dram with Sam.
Very good Whisky. We have get some bottle. Happy with that. Very good product. Congratulation Sam Heughan with that!
