The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.
Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.
Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.
Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.
Definitely one of our favorites on the shelf. I wasn’t sure if my husband would be a fan since he prefers a strong spice and peat, but I have to rein him in when choosing our evening scotch. We have to make this last until the next release, then I’m getting two or more bottles. Perhaps we’ll find some when we’re in Scotland in the fall.

When it hits your mouth the flavor explodes, then smooths out as it glides down your throat. I love the first bite and then how it mellows out and settles into your soul. Not for the weak of heart.
I Absolutely LOVE THIS SCOTTISH WHISKY. Just enough sweetness. Smooth, it is perfect neat or to mix. I hope this starts to become readily available in the US soon. It is like gold to me!!! Very precious!!!!
