To commemorate 200 years of history, The Macallan introduces TIME: SPACE Mastery. A tribute to the whisky masters of the past, the current creators selected each cask at its peak maturation, selecting both European and American oak. The European oak, predominantly seasoned with sherry, imparts depth, dried fruits, and gentle spice, while American oak adds balance, offering a rounded sweetness to the profile. TIME: SPACE Mastery was bottled at 43.6% ABV, and presented in a bespoke, one-of-a-kind circular decanter, symbolizing the circle of life. It is presented in an extraordinary box featuring 200 spikes, inspired by traditional origami techniques.
Sumptuous Medjool dates, sweet baked figs and rich milk chocolate accompanied by delicate hints of honey and tropical character, reminiscent of dried mango and ripe papaya. Encapsulated by complex sweet oak.
A real sweetness is evident with sherry-seasoned dry fruits, orange marmalade and honeycomb. Soft spiced notes of ginger and cinnamon develop.
Bursts of caramelised pineapple and creamy vanilla linger with the exquisite balance of subtle dark chocolate and coffee.
