The Macallan Terra is part of the Speyside-based distillery's Travel Retail Quest Collection range launched in late 2017. This particular expression is drawn from first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks, with the casks made of European and American oak sourced from two respected family cooperages.
Fresh orange, brioche, coffee, sultana and walnut loaf.
Melted chocolate, dried apricot, toffee pennies and a touch of strawberry jam.
Baking spices and dried oak notes take shape on the finish.

I am partial to a Macallan, but I tried this at a duty free on my way to California and I must say it's special. Lovely complex textures, not overpowering but not understated, as with everyone, individual tastes occur, but I've never tried anything so well balanced and in my personal opinion, perfect. Give it a go if you get a chance!
