The Macallan Reflexion is a superb expression from the legendary distillery in Speyside, created by Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno using whiskies matured exclusively in first-fill sherry seasoned American and Spanish oak casks. As with some of their other premium expressions, this comes presented in a gorgeous decanter and a rather inventive presentation box.

The presentation of this expression (bottle and packaging) is utterly stunning. Hoping that the whisky matches it.
This is a whiskey that takes you on a journey. Straight from the bottle you can smell the citrus. On aeration the toffee and cream flavours develop with the addition of a complex fruitiness which keeps the taste fresh. On the addition of a few drops of water and a few extra swirls of the air a surprising and fleeting glimpse of smoke. An amazing “experience” leaving me almost poetic. A great thank you to an amazing neighbour who shares my passion for the amber nectar.
Fantastic Dram, Reminds me a little of the Dalmore 25.

This explosion of choclate, buttershcotch, dark fruits and sherry notes is dancing on the pallet and goes on and on in a very long finish. The best reward a man can get. Even the hint of new leather fits into the composition. would like to give it a 10, but waiting for something more special.
