The Macallan M Black (2022 Release)
The Macallan M Black 2022 Release is a peated whisky aged in ‘rare’, black-ended sherry-seasoned oak casks, hence the name. That means we get a gorgeous Lalique black crystal decanter to house the spirit in, designed to reflect the peatiness of the whisky, which will be a real treat for those who aren’t used to smoky Macallan.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Fresh apple, pear, and citrus combined with sweet dates developing into subtle light peat.
Palate
Candied oranges, charred peaches, and honeyed fig combined with sultana, decadent dark chocolate, emerging into warming peat and spiced ginger.
Finish
Long peat smoke and sweet raisin.
