A beautiful colour and flavour for someone looking for a special occassion gift. Stronger than some of the others that I have tried but not a surprise for the age of this
A nice oaky and golden aroma, with legs. Not my usual preference in terms of taste, but it has legs and body, though with a bit of burn. Perhaps I find best to add a suitable mixer or water to fully enjoy. Has some caramel notes in there, I find it quite strong which is not altogether a negative.
This whisky was light mahogany in colour with a sherry aroma, another harsh whiskey both in the mouth and as it goes down, much like the Macallan Double Cask 15 year old with the Macallan Double Cask 12 year still being smoother, for my taste that is, this had to be mixed to soften it as well. Based on this I would not buy again or recommend.
This is a great drink to come home to at the end of the day and is perfect for special ocassions. The taste is exactly what I m looking for and I highly recommend.
Deliciously smooth, rich and slightly viscous liqueur-like whiskwy, with notes of ginger, spice, and liquorice.
