Reviews for The Macallan 15 Year Old Triple Cask
Safe and steady Macallan but overpriced.
A gentle and inoffensive Macallan that had it been priced at other 15 year old Speyside malt levels i would have been happy with. Macallan seems to be double the price and half the pleasure these days. Double or triple wood just does not live upto the hype and better value for money Speyside distilleries such as Glenallachie and Benriach offer much more bang for your buck.

Paying for the name
An average bottle and not very noteworthy. I would call it a good bottle to introduce people to tasting scotch because it’s smooth with a nice Light smokey finish. Got it as a gift, wouldn’t pay the price for the name.

Classy
Very well made, balanced whisky.
Disappointing with the first glass, as I have found most Macallan bottles I have had to be- it needs time with a bit of air in the bottle, after a month utterly gorgeous.
Smooth, oaky, sweet, good finish lightly lingering around, mouthwatering loveliness.
Fuller flavour than the 12 years as at 43% and a bit more time in the wood.
Such a lovely whisky, thank you Macallan.

One of my favorite Macallan's yet.
One of my favorite Macallans. Much better than any of the No. Editions I have tried, and much better than the Double Cask releases. The 12 and 15yr old Triple Casks have so much flavor, and they both have the classic Macallan taste you want with a lot of extra in between. I don't regret buying the 15yr old at all even with the price being around 120$. Would recommend to anyone who can afford it.
