Another stellar addition to the Double Cask range from Macallan! This 15 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky showcases the Speyside distillery’s signature style in full flow. Matured in a mix of American and European oak casks, both seasoned with Oloroso sherry, it brings rich depth and character. Expect layers of creamy vanilla, dried fruit, and gentle spice – a beautifully balanced dram that’s everything you’d want from a sherried Macallan. A top choice whether you’re gifting, collecting, or just looking to enjoy a classic.
Butterscotch and plump raisin, with spiced apple crumble and oak spice.
Dried fruits galore, with a dusting of cinnamon, candied ginger and orange peel.
More warming ginger alongside a drizzle of honey and buttery caramel.

Dry, very Woody, noticeably spicy, surprisingly light on the fruit notes from the sherry casks. Not jammy, not even fruity like the 12 year double or sherry casks. Feels like they used very used up casks like 3+ fill. With the dry woodiness there's also a grainy, cerealness to it. Not what I want from a 100% sherry casked Scotch.
The tasting notes are so inventive these days. It’s a pity most of the whiskeys don’t match them. It’s a good whiskey with a hint of undefined spice in its smooth taste.
