The Forgotten Gems range specialises in bottling up rare, small batches of precious spirits. This release consists of just 28 bottles, it's a 24-year-old single malt from Macallan! A gem for sure, but not forgotten.
Generous layers of rich old oak and leather furniture, with sticky dates, candied oranges, and plump sultanas.
Jammy dark fruits and berries lead the way, supported by creamy, soft stone fruits, dried, chocolate-dipped orange wheels, earthy walnuts and a touch of liquorice.
Drying oak joins a touch of herbaceous malt and smoked oak, balanced by dried forest fruits and stone fruit sweetness.
