The Lost Distillery Company create blended malts which are supposed to represent how whiskies from long-closed distilleries might have tasted, using research to find out as much about them as possible. Awesome. This particular expression is based on information regarding the Lossit distillery, which resided on the Isle of Islay from 1817 to 1867.
Damp oak, earthy peat and a hearty helping of milk chocolate.
Cigar box, buttered crumpets, sea salt light hints of basil.
Remains packed with vanilla and peat.

Had a sample bottle of this and loved it. I called it Peat, Heat and Bonfires.
Had some of this beautiful smokey whisky at Dumfries House a lovely smooth flavour, absolutely loved it. Very different to any other whisky that I have tasted. Definitely worth a try,
